Flowers every week

I’m still on my flower kick, and my latest bender is to draw the same spot in my kitchen every week ala David Hockney.

These were painted using a new material combo I enjoyed.

Now, I know this is not the most phenomenal painting of flowers anyone has ever seen (don’t even get me started on the bananas)

But what I like about this painting

Is that I like the flowers more

the closer I get to them

I’ve been buying tiny sketchbooks and using them for warm up drawing and I am really here for these tiny sketchbooks.

I recently asked Max what the name of one of his stuffed animals was and with his limited grasp of ooh’s and gaa’s he said ‘Ogda.’ I wish I had the natural god given ability to come up with a name that good.
