Season Six Visual Development VI

I wish it was raining as I post this, so you could read it in your anoraks but instead here is a soundtrack to make it feel as though it is:

For today we end our Summer Camp Island pre production series with a storm, the storm that becomes Susie’s tornado.

The entire season pays heavy homage to the Wizard of Oz, but also to another classic novel of our time - Bridget Jones’ Diary. This quote was brought to the writers room by Quinn Scott, and had a big influence on Susie’s journey:

Episode 18 - Swellington Boots

This whole episode revolves around Susie trying to get her Wellington boots off. Heaven. So many rainy day editions of the characters we designed for this episode, all style icons in their own right.
