The Doom

I had a dream the other day where I was watching a basketball game, and one of the teams told me that if they didn’t score the first point it was referred to as ‘The Doom.’ Should this terrible event occur, the doom would then follow them around for the rest of the game, follow them home, and hover above them as they slept.
Which made me think again of Haunted England. I don’t feel I was quite done with the topic, especially when I was served this.
This sums up my entire personality.
My friend Sarah Beeby introduced me to Seed Talks, a British organization that hosts talks online and in person in the UK. I attended one on folk horror which was bloody brilliant and began with the quote :
