Last week we explored the world of the lonely tuba player and the troublesome cellist and how the dynamics within the world of the performing arts can often feel like of a classic children’s book.
This week we’ll be looking at two iconic children’s book authors, and their contributions to the performing arts.
Maurice Sendak
To get us in the mood I thought we could start by reading a poem by Emily Dickinson, as her work helped Maurice “remain calm in an otherwise hectic world.”
This one’s a corker:
