It means it's coming back out on Cartoon Network after already airing on HBO - so not a premiere or a new release, but releasing it again on a different network.
Cooool! Interesting. Also how would you feel about seeing SCI fanfiction? One of my rough ideas has them meet a witch living in a library after investigating disappearing campers and a suspicious person. The group’s new ally is a non binary witch named River, a 500+ year old stegosaurus (species not common in present day)
Dinosaurs kept themselves alive via time magic plus raw immortality potion, but a spell was able to keep River a manageable size, as opposed to HULKING. They’re gonna help the campers save the witches’ magical artifacts, but first Hedgehog, witch trainee, must find out why it seems like Susie has minor beef with River, even though River is pretty chill around Susie. Also River is more of the dress shirt and vest type of witch and tends to dress like a 1950s fancy teenage boy at times. Due to immortality, they’ve been holding weird 18th birthday bashes for the last hundreds of years. River’s parentage is unknown, but they do hold fond memories of them. River’s been bunking with Ramona in between time for a bit until they can build themself a home. Also they snuck into the camp and celebrated Pride with Puddle and their (what are Puddle’s pronouns?) partner the King. They love River.
However in this story, it’s the first time anyone has actually needed help from River.
They also find out that the source of the weird happenings around camp is because a lunar eclipse is jacking up everyone’s magic, including Hedgehog’s, along with a strange magic user named Angelina who is a witch with the hair and makeup mimicking the look of a porcelain doll. She doesn’t consider herself a witch, but still very much considers herself a member of River’s imperfect little magical family. She also wonders why Susie is always rough around the edges and makes fun of people, and wants to get to the bottom of it, but only if she can get Susie to trust her, as it’s only out of a genuine sense of caring about/for her.
FYI it’s just a fun lil story I’m writing for myself and it’s a love letter to SCI bc even though the show is ending, you make it seem like it’s never going to:)
Thanks, Julia, for making Summers fun since 2017/2018 (?)
Omg i remember my mom buying me your JAM course on animation when i was a kid and you mentioned working on a project about a summer camp and how you talked about pitching ideas to CN and reading this feels like coming full circle and i'm in awe to see how far you've come and so sp happy to be able to watch your artistic journey blossom <3 <3 <3 <3
Thank you so much for sharing this Julia. As someone who hopes and dreams to write for animation and create a show one day seeing others work is so vital! Especially how much things change from initial ideation :)
I love this, thank you for sharing! Super fun (and informative - from someone hoping to create their own animated series in the near future)
I am so so glad! If you have any questions regarding the pitch process i'm going to do a video Q and A in a post soon.
Wow these are all super amazing!
By the way, what does re-release mean? I heard your show got a re-release

Well, this is extremly educational and fun. I still would like to see an off page comic of the city of Summercamp, the what if episode.
"...now it's just Oscar and a bunch of singing bananas and no one is listening to him." This should be on a T-shirt!
I found this dancing banana, but I can't find any signing bananas - https://tenor.com/bbvUU.gif
would love.
